They're cut to fit over other insulation, and they're long enough to allow a full range of motion. The waist cinches with a releasable buckle, and the cuffs snug down over the largest boots with shock cord and cord locks. We place flat panel pockets on the hips, sealed with zippers, There's a long fly front to ease dressing and bathroom stops.
