It seems contrary to
logic, but less is more for winter footwear, especially in
those places that are blessed with real winter..... the kind
without puddles. We're
lucky to live pretty far North. But that means we've had
to do some homework to keep our toes happy. Our
True
North Boots are a hybrid of different footwear styles from Native
American Mukluks to Roman Legionnaire's sandals. They have lightweight and breathable
shells of Cotton Canvas and Bison Leather on top of
a 3/8" thick Recycled Tire Rubber sole. We integrate
speed
lacing with cord locks for a quick and secure fit, then add
removable felt liners to retain precious body heat. These
feathery boots move and flex with your feet, as they release perspiration
to ensure your comfort. At days end, open them wide and remove the
inner components so they'll be dry the next morning. Our
equally serious Baby Booties
are meant for toddlers and crawlers who aren't ready for regular
kids footwear. The Soft Sole
Booties are perfect for around the house, and short
trips outside. They're a blend of wool scraps, leather lowers,
and a recycled polyester fleece lining. Our Hard
Sole Booties are meant for use in the snow. They're a
scaled version of our True North
Boots, with cozy liners, leather lowers, and rubber
dot tread soles.
